Boats of Hope

Bringing the Good News to the Inland Waterways

Canal Ministries' boat Sola Gratia.
Boats of Hope consists of Canal Ministries, in conjunction with the Boaters' Christian Fellowship, bringing the Good News of the Gospel to the Inland Waterways of Britain. Nearly all the Canal Ministries team live aboard their boats, responding to the call that God has placed on their hearts for evangelism. Members of the team, who have all been DBS checked, are available to any church or organisation who wish to avail themselves of the variety of gifts they can offer.

All members of the Canal Ministries team belong to the Boaters' Christian Fellowship. The two organisations work closely together, but are separate entities, each with their own Board of Trustees. For further information on either organisation, please click on the logos below.

We work together with Christians and churches in local canalside/riverside communities, spreading the Word and the Good News of the Gospel.

In 2018 we held a mission in Ellesmere on the Llangollen Canal. Further details are available under "Mission 2018" on the main menu. In 2017, we held two missions - in Thatcham and Newbury on the Kennet & Avon Canal. Please see the links on the menu for further information.

If you would like us to come to your community and work with you to spread the Gospel in your area, please get in touch! If you would like to see a taste of what a mission is all about, then please watch the video highlights of the Thatcham & Newbury Missions below:
